Who is eligible to apply for the UCD Scholarship?

Students applying to UCD as school leavers with six H1’s in the first sitting of the Leaving Cert (or A Level equivalent) are eligible to apply for the Ad Astra Scholarship. The Ad Astra Scholarship is available to students in undergraduate programs across all university programs at UCD, including Architecture, Engineering, Social Sciences, Law, Commerce, Economics and Finance, Science, Medicine, Nursing, Health & Performance Science, Linguistics, English with Creative Writing, History, Actuarial & Financial Studies, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Nursing and more.

What are the benefits of the Ad Astra Scholarship?

Ad Astra Scholars receive a scholarship valued at €3,000 for each year they are a member. They also have access to a range of academic privileges, including a dedicated academic mentor, workshops and seminars by academics, distinguished alumni and guest speakers, networking and development opportunities, and access to the Scholars’ Room. Ad Astra Scholars may also undertake an elective module in stage two called Ad Astra Professional & Personal Development. If wishing to live on campus, Ad Astra Scholars may avail of allocated on-campus accommodation but will have to pay for it themselves.

To apply for the Ad Astra Scholarship, students must complete the UCD Ad Astra Academy – Academic Scholarship application form online, please visit the official Program website.
