According to the source, this scholarship does not cover non-billable expenses such as mandatory health insurance, books, airline tickets, and miscellaneous expenses (approximately U.S. $4,000).Depending on continued satisfactory academic performance, it is renewable for a total of four years of graduate study.

Eligibility of the AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship in the USA

  • Scholars who are still studying in secondary or high school education and are expected to graduate by June 2023 can apply.
  • Scholars studying in the United States or related to the United States may not apply.
  • Scholars of the IB system should plan to graduate with a full Diploma and have at least 3 HL subjects.
  • British A-level Scholars must complete 13 years of study with 3 A levels before August 2023.
  • Minimum 3.8 GPA out of 4.0 in 9th through 12th grade.
  • They are committed to demonstrating leadership, volunteerism, community services, and development in their country.
  • Scholars who face multiple challenges and come from diverse underdeveloped backgrounds are given priority.
For English Language Requirements:
  • 95+ with sub-scores of 24+ on TOEFL iBT, paper-based, and 20 or above in other categories.
  • 0+ IELTS with sub-scores of 6.0 or above.
  • At least 33 on the SAT Reading subscore.
  • At least 29 in ACT English.
  • At least 65 in PTE.
  • 120+ in Duolingo, with all sub-scores of 110 or above.
  • Cambridge Assessment English score of 185 or above and all sub-scores of 169 or above.
