DOD SMART Scholarship 2024 Acceptance Rate

As per the available information, the acceptance rate of the DoD SMART scholarship is 15%. However, interestingly, scholarships were awarded to 51% of undergraduate students, 12% of joint bachelor master's degree students, 14% of master's students, and 23% of PhD students.

You must be a resident of the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom at the time of application. To be eligible on August 1, 2024, you must be 18 years of age or older.
Before graduation, I request funding for at least one year from the start date of my degree program.
You must be able to do at least one summer internship (Multi-Year Scholars only).
Be prepared to work with DoD after graduation.
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Earn a technical bachelor's or graduate degree in one of 24 STEM disciplines.
Provide a Fall 2023 transcript from a US college or university or earn a bachelor's degree at a regionally accredited US college or university.
