Dubai, the capital of the UAE, in particular, has a bustling, multicultural culture that strikes a balance between business and social events, a vibrant nightlife, and a variety of outdoor and indoor activities for expatriates. This work authorization is also known as a labor card. However, before submitting an application for a work permit, employees must get an entrance visa, a resident visa, and an Emirate ID card. However, in accordance with the new visa regulations for the UAE, the country recently introduced an entry permit for temporary work missions, allowing visitors with a temporary work assignment (such as a probationary period or project-based mission sponsored by the employer) to apply. If a visitor is a friend or family of a UAE national or resident, they are eligible to apply for this entrance permission. Additionally, all entry visas will now be valid for either a single entrance or multiple entries, and for a period of 60 days from the date of issuance. They may be extended for comparable lengths as well. A temporary work contract or a letter from the employer outlining the purpose of the visit are some of the prerequisites. Another is confirmation of one's physical and mental competence for employment.
Any foreign national over the age of 18 who meets the following requirements as established by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) is eligible to work in Dubai and the rest of the UAE visa. Employees will require the following paperwork in order to apply for a work permit and a residence visa in the UAE:
A work permit is first issued to applicants for 30 days, and it may then be renewed for an additional 30 days. As a result, candidates are permitted to stay in Dubai for 60 days, during which time their employer must make arrangements to get a Residence Visa, an Emirates ID, and a Labour Card. Travelers may lawfully live and work in the UAE with the help of a residence visa in addition to a labor card. Depending on your job contract, the residency visa and the accompanying work permit often run for one or two years. The Federal National Council (FNC) of the UAE has authorized raising the duration of work licenses from two to three years. The action intends to lessen the expense of getting work licenses. The FNC Committee on Financial, Economic, and Industrial Affairs recommended extending the validity period to three years and eliminating the charge for obtaining a work permit while changing jobs. The FNC also endorsed a proposal that employees remain with a company for at least a year following the probationary term, albeit this requirement may be waived with the consent of the employer. You need an employer who will hire you before you can begin the process to get your employment visa and work permit. The procedure for acquiring a work visa for the UAE involves three steps:
Employers must follow the steps below in order to start the process of acquiring an Employment Entry Visa (Pink Visa/Residence Visa): put in a request for visa quota approval on your behalf. This will be approved if an employment contract is submitted to the Ministry of Labour (MOL). The Ministry must approve the work permit application before providing an employment entrance visa, thus you will be needed to sign this contract. You must enter the UAE within two months of receiving permission and obtaining your visa. If you do so with a pink visa, you will have 60 days to apply for a resident visa and a formal work permit.
The medical screening requires an Emirates ID. You must present your entrance visa, the original of your passport, and a copy in order to apply for an ID. The Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) center is where applicants must visit in person.
You need each of the above-mentioned needed papers in order to apply for a residence visa. You can sign your contract and give it back to the employer as soon as your business has Ministry of Labor permission for the immigration quota. The employer can now submit an application for a work permit on your behalf. The residency visa will include a listing of the work permit. Once the work permit has been approved, the employee can formally start working.
At the airport, the applicants will now obtain a pink visa for employment entry. In order to complete their resident visa application, candidates are permitted to stay in the UAE for a period of two months. As soon as you arrive in the UAE, you must go through a medical examination and visit the Emirates ID service center (also known as a Customer Happiness Center), where you will need to provide your passport and entrance permission and submit to biometric testing. Your medical records and employment contract, which are needed to add you to the payroll system, will also be sent to the Ministry of Labor.
The applicants' passports will now have the stamp of their residence visa. Once applicants have this, they may access government services and create a bank account. Applicants can pick up their Emirates ID card after 10 days. Any employment visa for Dubai or another emirate in the UAE is subject to strict guidelines to ensure that employees' rights are upheld.
