Applications for Korean Scholarship 2021 for graduate students are now open. Korean Government offers many Fully Funded Scholarships for International Students to study in Korea.

This scholarship program is especially for international students in Korea at graduate level. The intention of this program is also to strengthen friendship between Korea and other countries.

Here are the benefits of the 2020 Global Korean Scholarship:

  1. Your travel ticket will be paid for along with your return ticket as well
  2. An allowance of 200,000 won will be given
  3. Your one year Korean language classes will be paid for
  4. Your degree will be fully covered
  5. Medical insurance of 20,000 won will be provided as well
  6. Degree completion grant of 100,000 won will be offered for GKS scholars

Eligibility Criteria:

In order to apply for this global scholarship, you must be eligible by the following criteria:

  • You must not be a Korean citizen
  • You must also not be a dual citizenship holder
  • You must be under 40 years of age as of September 1st, 2020
  • If you are under the age of 45 years and you are an Official Development Assistance recipient, you are eligible for the scholarship
  • You must have a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s or a PhD by August 31st 2020
  • If you have a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or PhD from a Korean institute, you are not eligible
  • If you have studied in Korea before, you are eligible
  • You GPA must be one of the following: 2.64/4 or  2.80/4.3  or 2.91/4.5 or 3.23/5
  • You must submit a Personal Medical Assessment form
  • You must be in a good condition, physically and mentally for the full duration of the degree
