Lester B Pearson scholarship Canada 2024 (full funded): University of Toronto Scholarship

The University of Toronto’s coveted Deserving international students who wish to enroll in the university’s undergraduate program are eligible for the Lester B Pearson Scholarship. Pearson, Lester B. a former Canadian prime minister and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, is honored by having the scholarship program bear his name.

The scholarship program offers complete financial assistance for four years, covering all living expenses, books, incidentals, and tuition. The University of Toronto’s first-year undergraduate programs are the only ones eligible for the scholarship. Around 37 students are designated Lester B. Pearson Scholars each year.

In order to be considered for the scholarship program, candidates must exhibit extraordinary academic achievement, innovation, leadership potential, and community involvement. A set of essays and an online application form must be submitted as part of the application procedure.

How to apply for Lester B Pearson scholarship: –

You must be selected by your educational institution and apply to the University of Toronto for undergraduate study in order to be considered a Pearson Scholar. Inquire about nominations from the guidance counselor at your school. Your private, secured link for the Lester B. Pearson Foreign Scholarship application will be emailed to you once you have been nominated and submitted an application to the University of Toronto.

Students who have shown remarkable academic ability and inventiveness, who are recognized as leaders in their schools, and who have the potential to make future contributions to the world at large are considered to be Pearson Scholars. Who all are eligible for applying Lester B Pearson scholarship: –

To qualify for the Pearson International Scholarship, you have to meet one of the following:

Being an international student (i.e., a non-Canadian requiring a study permit), being in your final year of secondary school or having graduated no earlier than June 2023, and starting your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2024 are all requirements. Students who are currently enrolled in post-secondary education or who begin their studies at another post-secondary institution in January 2024 are not eligible.

How to apply for Lester B Pearson scholarship: –

September 2023 marks the start of the 2024 Competition. In order to apply, you must:

Obtain a nomination from your institution. For our program, high schools that have not been contacted or validated are asked to submit an application, which is available here. The following link High schools that took part in a prior year will have access to nominations beginning in early September.

Apply to the University of Toronto (external link) so that you can start your studies there in September 2024, and make sure to submit your admissions application by the necessary deadlines (external link). Please be aware that you will be given the Pearson Scholarship consideration for your first choice of the University of Toronto program. when we make our scholarship decisions.

You can submit the online Lester B. Pearson Scholarship application once we have received a nomination and you have submitted an application to the university. Once your school has successfully nominated you for the award, you will receive a private link to the application.

Deadlines for Pearson Scholarships: –

Deadline for school nominations: November 30, 2023

The deadline for student OUAC admission applications is December 15, 2023. (Please note that this is the last day to submit an application to the OUAC; while you may still do so up until December 15, 2023, it is advised that you do it as soon as possible. Prior to November 7, 2023, is the suggested deadline for admission applications because popular programs may close early and spots in them fill up quickly.

January 15, 2024, is the deadline for applications for student scholarships.
