Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2024 (Canada) - Fully Funded

The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2024 is a Canadian initiative that empowers and educates international students by teaching them Canadian research methods and techniques. The Globelink Research Internship in Canada for international students offers interns a 12-week research program under the supervision of Canadian university professors or facility members in a range of disciplines. Trainees can continue their summer internships in science, engineering, mathematics, humanities, and social sciences. The fully-funded international internship also features a number of interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects, meaning students can explore projects across specific and general categories.

The Global Research Internship for International Students is a highly competitive initiative to attract talented researchers from Mitacs partners to Canada. The main aim and objective of the internship is to build a bridge between Canada and emerging global research talent. Mitacs also provides opportunities for trainees to participate in industry events, government programs, and professional development courses during their stay in Canada. It helps trainees expand their knowledge and skills by fully experiencing the benefits of the Mitacs Globelink Canada Internship Program. Additionally, studies show that 95% of interns speak positively about the impacts of this internship. Alumni of this internship who wish to return to Canada for further studies also become eligible for the Globelink Graduate Fellowship.

Eligibility For Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2024

• You must be at a minimum 18 years old.
• The passport is valid until at a minimum January 2025.
• If you do not currently hold a valid passport you are welcome to apply.
• Get a reference letter from a professor. Please download the reference letter instructions
• Update your CV: You can submit your CV or download the Mitax template Receive your academic transcripts (in English or French).
• Apply for a minimum of three and a maximum of seven projects and ensure selections are from at least three different Canadian provinces
