The State Examination Board in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, invites online applications for the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship 2023-24.
This government-launched program aims to support bright 8th-grade students from low-income families, ensuring they can complete their education up to the 12th grade. The primary goal is to reduce the dropout rate among students.
Eligibility Criteria for NMMS Gujarat 2024:
- Students in Government Primary Schools, Local Body Schools, and Granted Primary Schools in the 8th grade are eligible.
- General and O.B.C. Category students should have a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grades in class 7.
- Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students should have a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grades in Class 7.
- The annual income of the candidate's guardian should not exceed 3,50,000/-

Scholarship Amount:

- Total Marks: 180
- Exam Duration: 3 hours (Additional 30 minutes for blind students)
- Language: English or Gujarati
- Syllabus: MAT (90 Marks) and SAT (90 Marks)
- Qualifying Marks: General and O.B.C. Category: 40% marks in total
- SC and ST Category: 32% marks in total
