NUA-O Scholarship Last Date

The Odisha government has chosen to launch the Odisha NUA-O Scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students before the next Lok Sabha and assembly elections. The government launched this scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students, the Odisha government has decided to launch the Odisha NUA-O Scholarship before the next Lok Sabha and assembly elections. The male and the female students would each earn up to â‚¹9,000 and â‚¹10,000 yearly under this NUA-O Scholarship scheme.

Male students from Nirman Shramik (construction workers) and SC/ST households would receive Rs 10,000 yearly, while female students in the categories would earn â‚¹11,000. The scholarship aspires to empower youth and assist them in learning new skills and acquiring knowledge that will help them in building their career.

NUA-O Scholarship Last Date

As per the new announcement, the state government will provide scholarships under the NUA (Nutan Unnati Abhilasha) scheme to all eligible students. Now let us talk about the last date of the NUA-O Scholarship. As per the reports, eligible students can submit their applications on 16th March 2024.

NUA-O Scholarship Benefits

CM Naveen Patnaik has decided that under this scholarship, males will get Rs 9,000 annually and female students will get Rs 10,000 annually.

Male students coming from SC/ST and construction worker families will get Rs 10,000 and female students of the same category will get Rs 11,000.

The Odisha government expects that around 4.5 lakh undergraduate and 32,000 postgraduate students will benefit from this scholarship.

Magic Smart Card For Students -

The government of Odisha has decided that they will introduce a Magic Smart card for the students, to provide them with more benefits such as access to free WiFi, bus or train travel, skill development programs enrollment, online courses, and other upskilling opportunities that can help them in their career goals.

Under the NUA (Nutana Unnata Abhilasha) scheme, the students can learn many skills as they have partnered with many great education programs such as Microsoft, IBM, Coursera, Autodesk, TATA, NIIT, and many others.

According to the official authorities, a collection of Rs 300 crore will be set aside, and the students will receive the Magic Smart Card by August 2024.

NUA-O Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

As the scholarship comes under the NUA (Nutan Unnati Abhilasha) of the Odisha government, it is expected to cover all 30 districts of the state, especially the aspirational, remote, and tribal districts of Odisha.
According to the Odisha government, the scholarship will be granted to all the students who are enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate programs in any state university, be it government or non-government institutes. It also includes Sanskrit college students under the Higher Education Department.
Students whose guardians or parents are government employees working in any state or central government office and pay income tax will not be eligible for the scholarship.
