This traineeship program will take place in Berlin and Bonn, Germany

Eligibility for Paid Trainee-ship of Journalism in Germany:

  • Applicants are to have social media experience
  • This program is open for applicants from all over the world
  • Video production skills, basic audio, and data skills are required
  • Applicants must have a completed degree, college degree or apprenticeship
  • Should be adaptable to work in teams and individual
  • People with a background in Economics, IT/ technology, science and politics and women are encouraged to apply
  • Applicants content must have been broadcasted or published
  • Knowledge of MS office skills are required
  • A good grasp on English and German language is required
  • Applicants should be a native speaker of one of DW’s languages

  • Participants will be given an opportunity to meet with experienced trainers
  • Learning technical skills across radio, TV and online
  • Learning journalism skills on a bigger scale
  • The opportunity of placements with various DW editorial departments in Bonn and Berlin as well as in one of their foreign bureaus in Brussels, Washington or Moscow- will be given
  • Salary will be paid to applicants.
