The Government of Karnataka has launched a new scholarship scheme to provide financial assistance to students from weak economic backgrounds. The scholarship was launched by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on August 7 to encourage students to further their studies. Under the scholarship program, scholarship opportunities will be provided to the children of farmers in the state so that they can study up to their desired level. 

The main objective of the Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship Scheme is to provide scholarships to the children of farmers so that they can continue their education despite facing financial constraints. According to the source, the minimum amount of scholarship provided through this scheme is Rs 2500 and the maximum scholarship is Rs 11000.

Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

• Students must be a permanent resident of Karnataka.
• The father of the students should be a farmer by profession.
• Students must have completed the class 10th examination from a school recognized by the central or state board.

• Residence proof
• Passport size photograph
• Mobile number
• Photocopy of bank passbook
• Farmer ID card
• Class 10th mark sheet
• Proof of age
• Other significant documents

Apply For Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship

• First of all, go to the official website of the Agriculture Department of the Kerala Government
• The main page opens.
• On the homepage, you have to click on Scholarship Program for Farmer Children under the Online Services Section
• Then, a new page will open in front of you
• On this new page, if you have Aadhaar then you will have to select yes or no.
• If you select yes then you have to enter your Aadhaar number, name, gender, etc.
• If you have not selected then you have to enter EID Number, EID Name, Gender, etc.
• Now you have to tick the declaration
• After this, you have to click on Proceed
• After, a new page will open.
• You have to enter all the required details about you.
• After this, you will have to upload all the necessary documents
• Now you have to click on "submit".
