If you think about it till the end, the higher education system is appreciated all over the world. Finland is appraised to have one of the best education systems in the world. About half of its population has a higher degree. It is no surprise as it offers a wide variety of study programs and tuition fees are free for its residents and EU students.
Even for international students, tuition fees are very affordable, and third-country citizens can enjoy the same rights as any student due to Finland's equal opportunities policy. However, as a third-country citizen, you will most likely need a Finland student visa to study there.
The Finland student visa is valid for two years. If your study program lasts less than two years the visa will only be valid for the duration of your study program.
If you are successful in securing a job in Finland then you can convert your student visa into a work visa or researcher visa depending on your interest.
A work visa is usually valid for one year but can be extended as long as you have a job.
