Senator Barry Goldwater served his country for 56 years as a soldier and politician. A living memorial was established to honour his lifetime of work, including 30 years in the U.S. Senate.

To apply for the scholarship, you can follow some steps: Below we provide all the important steps for the Goldwater Scholarship 2024:

• Firstly you will complete your online application
• Then, research essay
• Three letters of recommendation (two letters from individuals who can discuss your potential for a research career in STEM – research advisors, STEM faculty – and one discussing your overall potential)
• Transcripts from all colleges attended
• You should have a copy of the nominee's Permanent Resident Card, if applicable.

Goldwater Scholarship 2024 Acceptance Rate

Scholarships of up to $7,500 are awarded annually to help cover tuition, mandatory fees, books, and room and board costs. Sophomore students receiving the Goldwater Scholarship will receive up to $7,500 in their junior and senior years. Juniors who receive the Goldwater Scholarship will receive up to $7,500 during their senior year.

Goldwater Scholarship 2024 Eligibility

• Applicants must be full-time sophomores or juniors (planning one or two more years of full-time graduate study)
• Applicant must be a US citizen, US citizen or permanent resident
• Applicants must have a college GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Intend to pursue a research career in the natural sciences, mathematics, or engineering*

* Goldwater Scholars are expected to pursue advanced degrees. candidates who have been planning to study medicine are eligible only. Candidates can study applied sciences, astronomy, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, computer science, entomology, environmental sciences, genetics, geology, mathematics, microbiology, neurobiology, physics, zoology and engineering. Including, but not limited to, all areas.

Goldwater Scholarship 2024 Deadline

If you want to know the Goldwater Scholarship 2024 deadline so here we are to tell you, that the scholarship deadline is 24 January 2024, (Wednesday).

Students who are enrolled will work with advisors in their field of study to revise their material by the deadline. They will then submit their final application packet online.
