Benefits of Human Rights Essay Competition:

In order to determine the winner, two awards will be presented: one for the best English article and one for the best Spanish article. Each of the awards consists of the following:

1. There are scholarships available for both diplomas and certificates of attendance in the Program of Advanced Studies on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. Both are offered on a competitive basis.
2. All expenses related to travel to and from Washington, D.C. are covered.
3. The university will provide you with a room and board.
4. Your living expenses will be covered by the university.

Eligibility Criteria of Human Rights Essay Competition in USA:

• No matter what their nationality, all lawyers around the world can compete for this award!
• The competition is open only to participants holding a Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Laws, or equivalent law degree by the due date for submission.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in human rights law is required.
• Only one submission will be accepted per applicant in either language
• An academic article must be written in the form of an essay with appropriate citations.
