The University of Toronto's coveted Deserving international students who wish to enroll in the university's undergraduate program are eligible for the Lester B Pearson Scholarship. Pearson, Lester B. a former Canadian prime minister and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, is honored by having the scholarship program bear his name. The scholarship program offers complete financial assistance for four years, covering all living expenses, books, incidentals, and tuition. The University of Toronto's first-year undergraduate programs are the only ones eligible for the scholarship. Around 37 students are designated Lester B. Pearson Scholars each year. In order to be considered for the scholarship program, candidates must exhibit extraordinary academic achievement, innovation, leadership potential, and community involvement. You must be selected by your educational institution and apply to the University of Toronto for undergraduate study in order to be considered a Pearson Scholar. To qualify for the Pearson International Scholarship, you have to meet one of the following: Being an international student (i.e., a non-Canadian requiring a study permit), being in your final year of secondary school or having graduated no earlier than June 2023, and starting your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2024 are all requirements. Students who are currently enrolled in post-secondary education or who begin their studies at another post-secondary institution in January 2024 are not eligible. Deadline for school nominations: November 30, 2023 The deadline for student OUAC admission applications is December 15, 2023. (Please note that this is the last day to submit an application to the OUAC; while you may still do so up until December 15, 2023, it is advised that you do it as soon as possible. Prior to November 7, 2023, is the suggested deadline for admission applications because popular programs may close early and spots in them fill up quickly. January 15, 2024, is the deadline for applications for student scholarships.
