Let's discuss Loran scholarship requirements, Loran Scholar's selection is unique because of its focus on the character of a young man. We believe that integrity, courage, patience, and personal autonomy are better indicators of overall competence than standard academic measures. To discover these attributes, we conduct the most comprehensive and thorough scholarship selection process in Canada.

Valid at 25 partner universities, the Loran Award is valued at more than $100,000 over four years, including mentorship, funding for summer work experiences, and participation in a broad network of past and present scholars. This year, we are offering 36 Loran Awards. In addition, we are presenting 124 finalists and provincial and territorial awards ($6,000 or $2,000 each, respectively) to promising candidates.

Loran Scholarship Requirements

• Admission to the university will take place for the first time in September 2024.
• Submit a minimum cumulative average of 85%.
• Hold Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
• You must have been born between 1 January 2002 and 1 September 2008.

Loran Scholarship Awards 

• $11,000 annual stipend.
• Up to $11,000 in annual tuition waiver from one of 25 partner universities.
• Personal guidance from a Canadian leader.
• Experiential learning through summer work experiences in three different fields with up to $14,000 in funding.
• An orientation hike through Algonquin Park.
• Annual Retreats and Scholars Gatherings.
• Lifelong membership in a community of values-driven individuals.
