Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) offers a Fully Funded Internship program for international students. This program provides an opportunity for students in Bachelor's and master's programs or recently graduated, to undertake educational activities as research interns. The duration of the program is 2 to 6 months, and students from any region can apply.

A competitive process is used to award Research Internships twice a year. Research proposals are selected highly competitively according to their suitability, academic background, funding capabilities, and available space. Vacancies won't be filled in all cases.
