Key Highlights of Prathibha Scholarship Programme:
Financial Support: Prathibha Scholars are entitled to receive financial assistance as follows:
- U.G. Course/First 3 years of Integrated P.G. Course:
- 1st Year: ₹12,000
- 2nd Year: ₹18,000
- 3rd Year: ₹24,000
P.G. Course (conditional on scoring a minimum of 75% marks for the Undergraduate course):
- 1st Year/4th Year of Integrated P.G. Course: ₹40,000
- 2nd Year/5th Year of Integrated P.G. Course: ₹60,000
- Enrichment Opportunities: Prathibha Scholars get exclusive access to Science
- Enrichment Programmes and coveted summer internships at renowned National and State-level R&D institutions in Kerala.
IISER-Trivandrum Summer Programs:
- Eight Prathibha Scholars, two in each discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics), have the chance to participate in summer programs at IISER-Trivandrum, subject to IISER-Trivandrum's norms.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this prestigious scholarship, applicants must:
- Be of Kerala origin.
- Have secured a minimum of 90% marks or equivalent grade in all subjects and all Science subjects combined in the Higher Secondary Board Examination (80% for SC/ST applicants).
- Have secured admission to a 3-year B.Sc./5-year Integrated M.Sc./5-year Integrated BS-MS course in Basic or Natural Science at any recognized institution or university in India.
How To Apply:
- Online Registration: Applicants should register online before the stipulated date, ensuring a valid mobile number and email ID.
- Application Submission: Applications are accepted only through online submission via the Prathibha Scholarship Web Portal.
Selection Procedure:
- The ranking is based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Higher Secondary Board Examination for all four Science subjects.
- Applicants are grouped into Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Life Sciences based on their chosen 'Main' subject.
- Final selection is based on a proportional distribution of scholarships for each subject category.
