About CRG Internship Programme: 

The 10th Summer Internship Program is being offered by the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) to give undergraduate students the chance to undertake summer research at the CRG. The program's objective is to inspire students of all nationalities to pursue a career in science and to expose them to an international laboratory setting.   • One round-trip airline ticket to the student's residence (up to 300 euros for tickets within Europe and 800 euros for tickets outside of Europe).
  • Meal coupons valid for two months (lunch/working days).
  • If not supplied by the University, interns are required to purchase their own health and accident insurance.
  • Students are responsible for finding their own housing using this Grant.
  • Candidates must meet all of the requirements listed below in order to be eligible for this internship.

  • For Master Students, a different application is required.
  • By the time the internship begins, two full years (4 semesters) of undergraduate coursework have been completed.
  • Candidates must have a strong command of the English language.
  • Candidates have the option to sign a contract for a student placement or internship with your Institute.

Criteria for Master Students: Master students must have a strong academic record and a keen interest in the disciplines specified above.

  • After the summer internship, now enrolled in a Master's program at a university with a good reputation.
  • Possess a good command of the English language.
  • A student placement/internship arrangement through your university is an option for applicants.

Application: Candidates may submit online applications as the whole application process is online. Please provide all the necessary provisions. provide all the necessary provisions. Provide accurate information only. You must go to the CRG Internship Programme website to submit an application. The following details will be on the application:

  • the properly filled-out registration form in English.
  • Your most recent academic transcript, which should list the names of the courses you have already finished along with your final grades.
  • Describe your interests in life sciences research, your goals for taking part in the CRG Summer Internship Programme, your expectations for the summer internship's academic and personal benefits, and the factors that influenced your decision.
  • You will be required to give at least one referee's contact information. After that, the online system will automatically send the referee an email with instructions on how to attach their letter of recommendation to your application.
  • You will be alerted as soon as their letter is added to the database.
  • The application may only be submitted once all fields and documentation (transcripts and reference letter(s)) have been filled out.
  • By the application date of March 20, 2024, all information must be provided.

Conditions for Appointments:

  1. A fellowship of 600 euros per month will be given to all chosen applicants.
  2. If the candidate does not already reside in Barcelona, she or he will get one 1 return public transportation ticket to the place of residency (European ticket up to 300€ / Overseas ticket up to 800€) along with one 1 public transportation ticket for Barcelona for two (2) consecutive months (Zone1).
  3. In the event that it is not offered by their university, candidates are required to supply their own health and accident insurance.
  4. Candidates are in charge of finding their own home or lodging.

Duration: All summer internship fellows should be at CRG the week of July 18th, 2024, as there will be some specific training activities organized for all the candidates. The summer training will consist of 320 working hours (40 hours/week), distributed over 2 months between June and September 2024. Due to the program's intense nature, participation demands a full-time commitment. All specified activities must be completed by the students, and they must submit a final scientific report.
