Internships in Mitacs Global Research in Canada 2023 are will be opened soon. International students can participate in a fully-funded internship program at Canadian universities under the supervision of a supervisor.  The expenses for Mitacs Internship for International Students will be covered by the Organization.

Approximately 70 universities across Canada offer the internship.

International students from the following countries and regions can apply for the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship: Australia, Brazil, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and the United States. Top-ranked applicants, ranging from scientists, engineers, and mathematicians to humanists and social scientists, are offered 12-week research internships under the supervision of university faculty members at Canadian institutions from May to October each year.

About Mitacs Internship for International Students in Canada

The Mitacs Global Research Internship Program offers internships ranging from Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Humanities to Social Sciences and Humanities. Graduate and Ph.D. students are all eligible to apply. Both men and women are welcome to apply.

Internships are available for the summer. This summer, you will be spending time in Canada. Every year, between May and October. Students from all academic disciplines are eligible to apply. When I am in Canada, what is expected of me and how long will I work?

For 12 consecutive weeks, interns must work forty hours a week, five days a week. An intern usually works during business hours (e.g., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), but this largely depends on how you are arranged with your professor.

When you can't make it to your research for whatever reason, such as illness or Mitacs, your host professor should be contacted.
